Greeley Wesleyan Church
44,190 sq ft Addition and Renovation, Greeley, Colo.
The Greeley Wesleyan Church addition provided 21,150 sq ft of new classrooms, offices and gathering spaces. The 23,000 sq ft renovation portion of the project focused on expanding aisle ways in the worship center and building theatre seating for 1,000. Other upgrades are theatrical lighting, digital sound and a functional 180-degree stage. Outside the worship center the Fransen Pittman team added a 6,900 sq ft foyer that wraps around the circular hall and houses a new coffee shop, book store and gathering area. Fransen Pittman phased work on the project to minimize disruption to ongoing church operations. The church was fully operational throughout the 10-month project. Once completed, the Greeley Wesleyan Church project received the 2007 Excellence in Community Design Award from the City of Greeley.
