Mission Hills Church’s new $16 million facility in Littleton accommodates the church community’s rapid growth. The new church sits on a 20 acre site and includes a large lobby with 6,600 sq ft of exposed wood roof decking supported by glu-laminated beams. The lobby serves as the primary activity zone for greeters and the church’s guest services staff. The large space provides for fellowship hall functions and has a fireplace for informal gatherings. The facility’s 103,000 sq ft includes 10,000 sq ft dedicated to youth and 30,000 sq ft dedicated to children. An adjoining coffee shop has casual seating for 60 and drive-up curb service. The facility has a variety of multi-use and multi-themed classrooms that are adjacent to restrooms and kitchenettes. With theatrical seating for 1,200 people, the Worship Center is a high-visibility space for services, baptisms, concerts and plays. An open sound and light control booth operates the state-of-the-art audio/visual system, and a recording and video control room holds equipment for tape and CD production, duplication and storage.   Located backstage are a rehearsal and choir room, a sound monitor board, production and storage space for stage components, and ground level access loading dock with overhead door. The facility also features a book store, 19 private offices and 11 cubicles to house the church’s full time staff, two elevators, nursery with dedicated toddler playground, and an elementary children’s center with its own theater. The outdoor area features a fire pit and BBQ grill in front of the building, a 20,000 sq ft playground, a regulation size soccer field and parking lot with 660 spaces.
