Northrop Grumman AUC-9 Building and Building Addition

108,000 sq ft New Facility and 80,190 sq ft Facility Addition, Aurora, Colo.

Northrop Grumman AUC-9 is a three story architectural precast building. The facility serves as a major software development center and houses a 35,000 sq ft computer room and a 300 seat auditorium. The building is designed with more than 200 miles of data cable and over 70 miles of fiber optic cable. The fast-track project was completed in eight months – a testimony to a true team effort by all involved.

The addition to Northrop Grumman AUC-9 was a complex project that included 18,000 sq ft of raised computer floor on the first level. The Fransen Pittman team installed 95 miles of fiber optic cable, extensive rooftop HVAC installations, UPS systems and 500 tons of computer room air conditioning units. Despite the specialized requirements and fast-track schedule, the addition was completed and commissioned on time.
