Royal Crest Dairy Processing Plant
42,700 sq ft New Facility, Longmont, Colo.
The Royal Crest Processing Facility is a combination of structural precast and pre-engineered metal building components. The plant supports a complete milk processing line. An ammonia refrigeration system is used to run ice builders, cool storage silos and 10,000 sq ft of cooler space. The in-floor conveyer system transports full cases of product to delivery bays and empty cases to the wash area. The facility is able to process up to 350,000 pounds of product per day including 40,000 gallons of bottled milk and more than 50,000 washed plastic bottles. The plant is capable of delivering milk from the cow to the front porch in less than 20 hours.Design by OZ Architecture
