This addition/renovation project will provide 120 beds to men in The Salvation Army’s addiction treatment facility. The addition is a three-story wood frame which utilized a pedestal post-tension slab to accommodate the various mixed functions. A new circulation “light tower” is the unifying element between old and new, and signifies the Salvation Army’s core mission. A new spacious entry invites everyone into a “safe harbor” leading to recovery, hope and re-building of lives. The existing building was completely remodeled with classrooms, library, computer room, exercise gym, barber shop and recreation area. The new kitchen will provide three meals a day for this facility and two others nearby.
