The Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House organization was founded in 1979 and provides free and reduced-cost housing to families of children being treated at area hospitals. The new House, near the Fitzsimmons Medical Campus in Aurora, provides a comfortable atmosphere where children can stay with family members and focus on getting well. The three-story House has a steel frame structure with masonry veneer and composite deck floor. In addition to 45 guest style bed/bathroom spaces, the facility has several kitchens, play areas and rooms for sitting, games, televisions and computers. Offices and conference rooms are also included for building administration.
