Fransen Pittman Employee Earns CITC Top Student Recognition

Larry Lian, a carpenter apprentice with Fransen Pittman General Contractors, was recognized as the Top Student in the Spring 2009 Carpentry II class from the Construction Industry Training Council (CITC). Coworkers Tim Kastenbauer and Brian Montgomery were recognized for their perfect attendance record for the same class.

Serving the industry since 1986, CITC provides specialty classes and apprenticeship training programs in carpentry, electrical, pipefitting, plumbing and sheetmetal. More than 20 Fransen Pittman employees have graduated from the carpentry apprenticeship program; the most recent of whom is Brian Montgomery. The firm has one of the highest percentages of CITC graduates of any general contractor in Colorado.

“Our firm’s dedication to educating our employees is integral in delivering the highest quality construction and keeping our job sites safe,” said Tim Williams, Fransen Pittman Vice President and CITC President-Elect. This commitment to job skills and safety training produced a zero lost workday incident rate for 2008.
